APRIL’S FOOLS DAY

This day is remembered and celebrated in history across the globe. Some use it for fun with their loved ones, unfortunately some relationships don't come back from prank trauma!!. But did you know that, a better part of the world population does so with little or even no knowledge about it?. Incase you are part of that fraction, let's get down to knowing how this day found its place in history.

Origin of April fools day

The origin of the April fools day can be traced back to 1582, time during which government switched from the Julian calendar to to the Gregorian calendar. In Julian calendar, the Hindu calendar, a new year began at around April during the set of spring equinox. Some people didn't recognise these changes though and they celebrated the last week of March through April. Gregorian calendar, the current one, meant that the beginning of a new year has been moved to the 1 January. A group of people that celebrated during this time were branded “April fools“.

Today, this day is used to create jokes and make fun of those who perhaps are not well updated about the current happenings, or those who are quick to believe that certain news are actually true when they are not.
