Jesus; my help in ages past, my hope for years to come.

Without further contemplation, I have resolved to put my raging thoughts into written words. This is not in an attempt to revive my dormant writing skills, rather a bid to recall and reflect on the journey I have embarked upon over the past one year and how I have been sitting pretty on the shoulders of Adonai.

Over the past year, I have been pushed beyond comprehension, stretched beyond elastic limits, faced with challenges that tested my resolve, just to say the least. I accomplished things that I never thought I would be privileged to do and by God,El Gibbor. He graciously refurbished my little works and made outstanding results out of them.

Attempting to fully describe my experiences this past year is a daunting task, as I have struggled to find the right words to convey the complexity and depth of what I have gone through. Even with my best efforts, I still won't be able to put in relatable terms, especially for the not-so-close pals to understand.Trust me, I would have loved to make an attempt, but just as I doubted my capabilities in the past, I harbor similar doubts now. Oh well, I don't think it is because I'm not inherently inexpressive, it is just the heightened level of shege I was faced with that is unspeakable (lol).

Despite my reclusivity, Christ took me by surprise by depositing some extremely wonderful people in my life. I acknowledge greatly the bountiful blessings they have been, not failing to mention the immensely joy they have brought me in the space of months. I recognize this as a divine ordinance, a testament to God's work in my life.

At every moment, I got reminded of God's promise to be a Friend closer than a brother, always reminding me of His love and careof me. When things looked impossible, he created wonders with my faith, leaving me in utter wonder and awe of His Majesty.

The intentions of Jesus towards us beautifully expressed in the Scriptures, which is why christians find purpose, guidance, comfort and everything more, by studying and practicing the Word of God. Emphasis on practicing, because the Word of God provides instructions, guidelines and even words of encouragement for every phase in life, nourishing both our souls and spirits. These writings were inspired by God to serve as a guide for our daily living.

According to 2 Timothy 3:16 AMPC‬[16] Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action).

When you discover God's intention towards you, next thing is a total surrender to Him. Allow God to carry you, just as a loved one would bare you in their hands bringing you comfort and peace.That and much more you will feel when you allow God. Let Him make with your life what He pleases. Remember that His thoughts towards you are of good and not of evil. Give Him the opportunity to bring you that expected end. Don't struggle with Him. Don't try to smuggle your plans into His. He is able, abundantly able.

When I began this writing, I started out with a completely very different idea in mind but right now, I am being led to another route. Nevertheless, I surrender totally to The One who guides my thoughts and words.

As the popular hymn says ‘what a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear'. Jesus, our Saviour, the one who bore the weight of our transgressions in a bid to reconcile us back to the Father. Jesus, the friend never absent on days of our triumph and turmoil. Jesus, our shelter from the storming blast, empathetizes with our pains and shares our burdens. Jesus, our eternal hope, the Bible makes us understand that hope maketh not ashamed. We are therefore assured of a glorious future.
