Riches and Retreat

In wealth's embrace they gather 'round
With smiles bright their laughter sound
But when the coffers start to thin
Their presence fades like fleeting wind

Fair weather friends with shallow guise
Their loyalty a thin disguise
In opulence they dance and cheer
But in adversity disappear

They bask in riches golden glow
Yet flee when hardship starts to show
Their friendship like a passing trend
Only in abundance do they pretend

When fortunes fade and skies turn grey
They vanish like the light of the day
But true companions rare and true
Stand by you do

So,cherish those who stay sincire
Through wealth, through lack,through fear
For in the depths true friends are found
Where loyalty and love abound
